Everyone has there idea of a perfect concert. Whether it is in a club or amphitheater or you are sitting or standing the concert has the ability to take over the entire room. When the average concert attendee walks through the door they do not understand all the planning that went into making these moments possible. After taking music industry classes and working as a booking intern for Live Nation I thought that I had a better understanding… I was wrong.
This year I am Director of Center Stage, one of the five committees in the University Program Board. We are responsible for promoting and producing the concerts. During the next year I will be writing posts detailing the crazy events that occur when live music and planning concerts on a college campus come together.
