In 8 days I am heading to Iceland! It sounds crazy to me to think it. Each time I tell someone they ask how far of a flight it is. I respond saying it is really only 5 hours. Most people look back at me stunned trying to remember where Iceland is. The rest of the people ask why Iceland? I do not have a real answer so I normally say why not.
To celebrate this Earth Day I have combined some of my favorite pictures traveling. These range from across the world to my backyard. Everywhere I have been around the world I have learned something. So this Earth Day I challenge you to plan a trip somewhere. There is a lot to see on this Earth and I want to see something different.

“Lovers and madmen have such seething brains,
Such shaping fantasies, that apprehend
More than cool reason ever comprehends.
The lunatic, the lover and the poet
Are of imagination all compact:
One sees more devils than vast hell can hold,
That is, the madman: the lover, all as frantic,
Sees Helen’s beauty in a brow of Egypt:
The poet’s eye, in fine frenzy rolling,
Doth glance from heaven to earth, from earth to heaven;
And as imagination bodies forth
The forms of things unknown, the poet’s pen
Turns them to shapes and gives to airy nothing
A local habitation and a name.”

A mountain is composed of tiny grains of earth. The ocean is made up of tiny drops of water. Even so, life is but an endless series of little details, actions, speeches, and thoughts. And the consequences whether good or bad of even the least of them are far-reaching.
