To the land of street art, cafes and the Great Ocean Road! With a long weekend ahead of me I was excited to head back to Melbourne to explore. There is more to see outside of Hosier lane – let me tell you where to go for art, food and good vibes within the city.

Now of course it is nice to see the Brighton Beach Boxes but personally I’d trade those any day for a drive on the Great Ocean Road. The views, the beaches the fish and chips shops! Around every corner there is a new surprise and at the end of the drive are the 12 (now 8) Apostles.
Rent a car and ditch the city, I tell you it’s worth it. Each of the below is between 30 mins to 2 hours from the last one so at the end of the day you only have a return drive of 3 – 4 hours.
- Erskine Falls
- Apollo Bay
- Lorch Ard Gorge
- 12 Apostles
One note of advice, drive the speed limit so you can avoid almost $1,000 in tickets… just saying.
